Alsident® are a world leading extraction arm manufacturer. They approached us with a challenging problem. How do we help our customers to choose the right product for the right application? There is a great deal of legislation regarding the provision of suitable ventilation in the work place, whether that be a nail salon or high-tech laboratory. This information is available in written form, with diagrams, but it still required a knowledgeable designer to match the product to the work space and fumes being extracted. 

Since introducing the tool, known as Alsidim®, the company have reduced the time it takes to recommend a product to a customer, as well as making the tool available freely available online to the architects planning projects. The result? At our last meeting the management reported a huge increase in sales, out manoeuvring their Swedish, American and Chinese competition, even within in the Chinese market, where companies are also obligated to abide by International Standards for working conditions, if the resulting products are to be exported elsewhere.

 

By entering the known data into the application, the designer can rely on the result complying with the the appropriate regulations.

About Lifetime

Lifetime manufacture quality children's furniture from their factory in Denmark. They have a vast range of high quality solid timber products, too many for most retail shops to have on display. This is where the Lifetime product configurator and Room Planner, built upon Trinity, really shine. Even sales staff who are not familiar with the entire range can quickly and easily come up with a solution for a customer. For those with deeper knowledge, an entire room can be planned out.
The customer can see and touch samples from the range, but for everything not physically present in the store, the website provides 3d models and photos, and tools to view the final product in Augmented Reality.

For many years this was enough to support the sales channel, but as the world of commerce moves from the high street to e-commerce, how could Lifetime support their sales chain?
By making the product viewer/configurator and Room Planner available within their agents websites. This is made possible by the Multi-merchant functionality, a standard feature of Trinity.

When planning and selling wine cellars, it's essential to provide the prospective customer with drawings of you proposed solution, as well as providing technical drawings for the craftsman who build them.


The feedback from the Vinlagring sales team is very positive. A salesperson using Trinity.js saves 20 hours a week preparing offers, compared to their previous method, involving SketchUp and manually listing components.
